Abstract:

The study of social mobility is part of urban studies. Iranian sociological investigations do not reflect much about the problem of women’s social mobility; while understanding the dynamics of women’s mobility and its extent can help in planning and policy-making within the framework of social studies. The present research probes into women’s inter-generation social mobility in an Iranian urban setting: that of the city of Tehran. This research measures girls’ inter-generation social mobility (the new generation), as compared to that of their mothers, by considering indices such as level of education, number of children, age of marriage, status of job, and the choice in spouse selection. Moreover, factors influencing inter-generation social mobility have also been analyzed and assessed. The findings show that the girls under the study (sample population) had greater upward inter-generation social mobility, as compared with their mothers. This is demonstrated by a comparison of values of indices of inter-generation social mobility with the earlier generations. This comparison indicated an increasing upward tendency. Among factors influencing such a tendency, the parents’ income was of paramount importance, within other independent variables. Whereas, so much as their grand mothers were concerned, the same importance was attached to the age of marriage.

Abstract:

After each disaster such as earthquake, the most attractive events for media to show are the demolished buildings and other physical destructions. So, it seams that reconstruction program should be limited to rebuilding destroyed houses and shops. Other aspects of the people life that may be more affected and destroyed by the earthquake have to be left behind, and less attention has to be gained. But, most research results on the very complicated disaster aftermaths indicate that many other important and complicated circumstances may occur sooner just after disaster, or later on, that may put more complicated and disastrous affects that may influence the whole life of the affected community for a longer time.In this paper, it was attempted to study some social and individual behaviors, such as rising of crime and drug problems in community affected by disaster, in order to discover the real causes and acting factors. "Identity" was taken as the axial factor, in this study in order to examine the complexity of destructions caused by disasters to the affected societies. Death of family members usually affects turn up the family life and affects the whole community, causing social disorders such as crime and drug problems.A field study was held in Barn, Iran affected society two years after the December 2004 earthquake, on social and behavioral problems occurs mainly at camps were temporary constructed to shelter the affected people in Bam. The study main important results show that there are many hidden affecting process that put the real and the most important effects on the whole life of the disaster affected community. The most important disaster circumstances usually rune individual and social identity of the people. Death of parents, usually leave orphans and splash families. Losing property turns rich families to poor, and demolishes their social identity.Theses effects increase when affected people were moved to live in camps fare away from their houses and local communities. In this case, people those till yesterday were land lords, from the disaster on ward became treated as refugees. This put great influence on their whole life and reduces their self confidence. Furthermore, living in refugees camps reduce social control and increase social and individual misbehaviours.

Lack of serious attention to the demands of young people and lack of attention to the weakness of the ruling discourse in the field of demands, especially in the field of livelihood and social justice has caused the new generation to largely not adhere to the values and norms of their society. Method: The research method in this research is combined, in the theoretical part as a way of examining the theories of social psychology and sociology, in the form of documents and libraries and in the quantitative part as descriptive (survey type); Based on cross-sectional sampling, 250 students from different fields of Azad University Tehran Markaz-125 girls and 125 boys equally-were tested in a purposeful manner using a questionnaire. Results: The results of the present survey indicate thatObstacles affecting the current situation, include two dimensions: 1. Weakness in identification (lack of attention to generation gap and the pattern of social inferiority and previous scientific achievements) 2. Weakness in valuing and persuading the audience so that the current generation is alien to many values before it. Conclusion: The results of surveys of the last two decades show the continuous decline of the dominant discourse indicators; and this means that the lack of attention to scientific research in this field and the lack of attention to the needs of new generations and updating propaganda methods, has weakened the prevailing discourse.

Abstract:

Background and Aim: This study was conducted to evaluate the safety and efficacy of Tension-free Tape for the surgical treatment of female stress urinary incontinence.Materials and Methods: In a prospective open study for pre and post operative, we followed 36 patients at least 1.5 years after surgery (18-28 months); all patients underwent the operation under local anesthesia, allowing the surgeon to check intra-operatively that continence has been obtained. Results: Mean operation time was 36 minutes (range 20-45 minutes). 32(89%) of the patients was cured according to the protocol, another 3(8.3%) were significantly improved and there was 1 (2.7%) failure. Mast of patients (about 91%) were operated on a one day-care basis, which implies that they were released from the hospital the day after the procedure, and no post operative catheterization, defect healing and tape rejection occurred. Pain free recovery time without any analgesic was another benefit.Five patients needed an indwelling catheter for 3 days and two uncomplicated hematoma occurred. Conclusion: Based on the results, we conclude that Tension-free Vaginal Tape is a safe and effective ambulatory procedure for surgical treatment of genuine stress urinary incontinence, which allows the majority of the women to be discharged from the clinic the day after the procedure and start their works in the second week.
